Experience

Melissa (Mel) Crampton has had extensive experience in legal and consulting HR roles, and a couple of experiences in government or government related entities.  Mel joined Proximity to establish the People function and bring a strategic approach to the current and successful employee related activities.

With experiences covering attracting and engaging employees through to strategic workforce planning, Mel enjoys the variety of working with a growing organisation with solid foundations and an agile approach. Mel is pragmatic, yet empathetic and brings an holistic approach to her work with a keen focus on the wellbeing of all.

Mel holds a Masters in Human Resource Management and Organisational Development and enjoys continually exploring new ways of engaging office-based and a dispersed workforce seeking growth and development in changing environments.

A keen mountain biker, Mel recently swapped cross-country racing for baggier shorts and downhill thrills, plus a few longer rides exploring the hills and beyond. A regular ‘weekend’ break will include fun with the family and friends in the mountains, at the beach, or on a friend’s back lawn.
