Stephen Bailey

Experience

Stephen has a strong working knowledge of Commonwealth  procurement working directly in procurement related roles over the last 14 years. Stephen has led procurement teams that advised and conducted procurement and contract management advice to projects, including, End User Computing, Infrastructure, Communications and labour hire procurement.

Since joining Proximity in February  2022, Stephen has been on secondment to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water as a Senior Procurement Advisor, on two large procurement programs for DCCEEW, the Australian Antarctic Division (AAD) ICT uplift Program spanning June 2022 to present and the Digital Connect Program that has been in progress since June 2023 with Stephen providing procurement support since January 2024. Stephen’s role is to assist the client to conduct a large volume of procurement activities and comply with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and departmental procurement policy, track procurements and spend, and ensure delivery of goods and commencement of services within the required timeframes.

Prior to this Stephen worked in the Australian Public Service as a procurement and commercial manager in large Commonwealth Organisations, with experience in the following:
