Proximity presents at huge online event in Victoria on what to expect in the First 100 Days of a new government

Elizabeth Langdon, Expert Adviser and Proximity’s National Lead for Health and Aged Care, was invited by IPAA Victoria to participate in a panel discussion about the First 100 Days of a new government, on 25 November, the day before the Victorian State Election. 

There was huge interest in the event, with over 600 people attending online. The discussion provided practical advice from Elizabeth and two other experienced public sector leaders about navigating the pre- and post-election landscape. 

The panel discussed issues like tips for navigating the First 100 Days of a new government, implication and opportunities that arise during Machinery of Government changes, and ways that public servants can look after their wellbeing during this time of change and intense workloads. 

Elizabeth worked in the VPS for 17 years, and held various executive roles that had direct responsibility supporting incoming Victorian governments. 

Other panellists at the IPAA event were Susan Middleditch, Deputy Secretary from Victoria Police, Kym Arthur, Director of the Secretary’s Office at the Victorian Department of Health, ably led by panel chair John Merritt, former Chief Executive of VicRoads and the Environment Protection Authority and current member of many public sector boards as well as the St Kilda Football club.
