Experience
Over the past 15 years, our 40-plus lawyers have completed hundreds of legal secondments across the Commonwealth, from short-term placements to multi-year engagements in administrative law, litigation, commercial law, coronial matters, work health and safety, and information law.
We are known for working alongside, or embedded within, government teams. This focus is central to who we are and why our lawyers choose to work with us. Many have held senior roles in respected government teams and private practice, including as General Counsel and Principal Legal Officers.
We meet the Commonwealth’s needs by providing senior expertise on sensitive and significant matters, as well as surge support from our trusted talent pool, including paralegal support. Our partnership approach also helps build capability in government teams through practical knowledge sharing and access to our tools.
Our work is industry-recognised: Proximity, which SPA Australia acquired in 2025, won Government Team of the Year at the Australian Law Awards in 2022 and 2017.
